Andrew Taylor

Andrew has been operating in the Asia Pacific real estate markets for 35 years. He is currently the managing director of Ardgour Capital Services, a consultancy business focused on providing asset management, transactional and capital consultancy services to private real estate companies. Ardgour also produces ad hoc research under the banner of “Ardgour Expects”.

Prior to Ardgour, he was the CEO of CSI Asset Management, where he was tasked with setting up a third-party asset management business for a HK-listed developer. Between 2004 and 2021, Andrew was an Executive Director of Macquarie Asset Management. Throughout this period, he undertook senior investment roles for Macquarie in Asian real estate. He began managing REITs and development funds, then Private Equity funds and separate accounts and, more recently, corporate investments in real estate entities. Over this period, Andrew has raised capital from and invested for Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds and High Net Worth / Family offices throughout Europe, Asia, Australasia, the Middle East and Canada.

He has built and managed investment, asset management and operational teams running logistics, retail, cold storage, residential and commercial properties. The teams have been multicultural, integrating most of the nationalities of Asia with European and Australian investment rigour.

Andrew was involved in the creation of the Macquarie Wanda Real Estate Fund, Macquarie Goodman Hong Kong, Macquarie MEAG Prime REIT, MCRC and Metcold. He was also involved in Macquarie’s residential business in China and the work-out of the Schroders Property Fund.

He previously ran Property Equity Research teams for several investment banks and started his career with Jones Lang Wootton doing Valuations, Consultancy and Research.
